I use the cable to connect a wireless CarPlay dongle that requires a separate power supply; it reboots whenever my phone connects to its Wi-Fi. Splitting data and power fixes the problem.

This cable works flawlessly, allowing fast charging while fully retaining CarPlay functionality. I tested multiple cables and connector orientations, and all worked without issue. The kit includes a dongle required for USB-C iPhones (iPhone 15 and newer). I can confirm that without this dongle plugged into the included cigarette lighter’s USB-C port, the iPhone will neither charge nor connect to CarPlay.

With the dongle in place, CarPlay worked reliably across my USB-C and Lightning iPhones, and Android Auto functioned properly on my Android phones as well. I personally prefer wired CarPlay over wireless due to lower latency, easier sharing among family and friends, and faster charging with less long-term battery degradation compared to wireless charging.

Cable management can be slightly clumsy, but overall, I highly recommend this product.

Now I can finally use CarPlay and charge my phone at a reasonable rate at the same time!
